Beach volleyball (also called sand volleyball) is a team sport played between two teams consisting of 2 to 6 players per team.  It is played on a sand court approximately 25-30 ft wide by 50-60 ft long divided down the middle by a net.  It has been part of the olympic games since 1996 and is one of the fastest growning sports in the U.S.

The basic rules are simple, each team has up to 3 touches to get the ball back over the net to their opponents side.  It’s a grea team building activity, stress reliever and exercise.  But for those that strive to work hard, understand strategy and perfect their basic skills, in can be a challenging competitive sport.  It has been the most watched sport in the past few Olympics.
